At LostFoundService.com, we value transparency, fairness, and customer satisfaction. Our goal is to provide effective and professional data recovery services. Because of the sensitive and technical nature of data recovery, this refund policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may or may not be granted.
No Data – No Charge Policy (For Eligible Cases)
We follow a “No Data – No Charge” policy for many standard recovery services. This means that if we are unable to recover any usable data from your device, you will not be charged for the recovery work. This applies only when:
- The device was not previously tampered with or opened.
- You have not attempted recovery yourself or via a third party.
- The case does not fall under exceptions like physical damage or encrypted drives.
We will always inform you beforehand if your case does not qualify under this policy.
Evaluation/Diagnosis Charges
For complex cases such as physically damaged devices, RAID setups, or urgent recoveries, we may charge a non-refundable evaluation fee. This covers the time, tools, and effort required to diagnose the device and determine recovery options. You will be informed of any such fee before any work begins.
Refund After Data Recovery
Once recovery work has been completed and payment has been made, no refund will be issued. This is because data recovery is a service-based process, and once the work is done and data is shared or delivered, it cannot be reversed.
We encourage all users to carefully review the recovery report or sample data (if offered) before completing payment.
When Refunds Are Allowed
Refunds may be considered in the following situations:
- Payment was made by mistake or charged in error.
- You canceled the service before any recovery work started.
- The service delivered was not as agreed upon.
If you believe your case qualifies, please contact us through the contact form on our website within 7 days of the payment date. We will review the situation and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days.
Partial Refunds
In some cases where partial data was recovered, we may offer a partial refund or discount at our discretion. The decision is based on the importance and amount of data recovered compared to the service level selected.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:
- Data recovery was successful, but you declined the recovered data.
- The device did not contain the expected data.
- You failed to provide correct device passwords or access credentials.
- You changed your mind after the recovery process had started.
- The service was delivered under flat-fee or emergency terms.
